What's new on the Hub
What's changed on Ramara Hub, in plain language. New briefs, new answers, and corrections. Newest first.
How we decide what's logged
We log changes residents care about: new or updated briefs, new answers and corrections, new features, and fixes made when someone flags something. We don't log behind-the-scenes technical tweaks. Corrections are always logged, because owning a fix in public is how the site earns trust.
Jun 16, 2026 Added a plain-language guardrails section explaining source limits, missing CivicWeb records, and how answers stay checkable New
The About page and FAQ now spell out the Hub's limits and guardrails: answers should come from retrieved records, show sources, label whose record each source came from, avoid guessing, and name uncertainty when the public record is incomplete. Read the guardrails →

Jun 13, 2026 Correction: the sewer systems WERE once billed separately Correction
A resident provided Bylaw 2015.19, which shows Bayshore, Lagoon City, and Brechin each had separate sewer base rates in 2015–2016, later harmonized to a common rate. We had described it as one rate base throughout; that was wrong, and the brief is now corrected. We’ve since confirmed the harmonization took effect January 1, 2017 via Bylaw 2017.10, based on the 2016 Hemson Consulting rate study. Read it →
Jun 13, 2026 The sewer “merger” question, answered Correction
A persistent local belief is that Ramara merged two separately funded sewage systems and shifted the cost onto everyone. We set out who actually pays for shared wastewater costs and what the record does and doesn't show. Read it →
Jun 13, 2026 Wastewater brief: a new “who actually pays” section Update
The wastewater brief now explains how the single shared rate works, why there was no “merger” of the Bayshore and Brechin/Lagoon City systems, and why homes on private well and septic pay none of it — every quote checked against the Township's own pages. Read it →
