About Ramara Hub
Who runs it
Ramara Hub is a project of the Ramara Civic Forum, a resident group founded by Russell Cole after the December 2025 wastewater forums, to give residents a standing place to be heard. Russell is a Ramara resident, a board member of the Concerned Citizens of Ramara, and a 2022 candidate for mayor of Ramara — he's been working on how this township runs for years, and he built and maintains this site himself.
The Hub is independent and free. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the Township of Ramara. Questions about the site go straight to Russell: russellcolevop@gmail.com.
What this is
One simple place for Ramara residents to find what they need: who to call, how things work, and the real story behind the issues everyone is talking about. Township information is scattered and hard to find; the noise online makes it worse. This site exists to replace uncertainty with checkable facts.
Behind the search bar sits a growing archive of over 900 public township documents — bylaws, council highlights, studies, plans, and service pages collected from ramara.ca — searched live every time the curated answers can't fully cover a question. Every result links back to the official document. We've also asked the township for the full council minutes archive so the record here can be complete.
How the Hub decides what to publish
Everything on this site has to clear one bar. Every claim is sourced to a primary or credible published record — a court ruling, a township document, an official record, or established local journalism. If we can't source it, we don't say it. Contested issues get both sides and the actual numbers, each attributed, so you can decide for yourself. We don't repeat rumour, private correspondence, or any one group's characterization as fact — no matter which side it favours. We never guess: when there's no sourced answer, we tell you so and point you to who does.
This is why the Hub will sometimes tell you it doesn't know, or won't take a position on something circulating online. That's the standard working, not failing — and it's what keeps the site neutral. The moment it repeats one side's claim as fact, it stops being a record anyone can trust. No grades, no endorsements: council pages show the public record only. Dated and verified: every page shows when its information was last checked.
The honest limit: the public record is incomplete
Ramara Hub can only answer from records it can actually see. Council minutes are summaries, not transcripts. Public meeting audio and video are not posted as searchable transcripts. Some records only appear in agenda attachments, some require a formal request, and the CivicWeb material is not fully in the Hub's searchable archive yet. We've asked the Township Clerk for the missing CivicWeb records so they can be added if they are provided.
That means the Hub should be treated as a strong starting point, not the final word. Where the record is thin, one-sided, or missing, the site should say so instead of filling the gap with guesses.
Guardrails that keep answers honest
Answer from records
The answer engine is supposed to use retrieved records and published briefs, not make up facts from memory.
Show the sources
Every answer should link back to the records it used, with labels showing whose record each source is from.
Name uncertainty
If the available record is incomplete, mostly Township-published, or not enough to answer, the answer should say that plainly.
Make changes inspectable
Corrections and meaningful updates go on What's new, and the site code is public on GitHub ↗.

Privacy, plainly
When you ask a question, we record the question itself — never who asked it. No accounts, no ads, and no advertising trackers. Question counts tell us what to research next and what to raise with the township. The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate visit counts; Cloudflare says Web Analytics does not use cookies, localStorage, or fingerprinting to collect usage metrics: Cloudflare Web Analytics ↗. If you choose to leave your email (for a follow-up answer or the weekly update), it's used for exactly that and nothing else, and you can ask to be removed anytime.
